It is not easy to choose a sterilizer for smartphones and keys: there are many models on the market, which differ in price, functionality and design.
During the pandemic of Covid-19 we realized one thing, but we should have noticed even before: many of the things we always use are “dirty”. We think of objects that continuously pass through our hands or are in close contact with certain parts of our body: smartphone, keys, earphones, jewelry or costume jewelery. These objects can harbor more bacteria than the dirtiest thing you can think of: is that enough for you to run for cover?
The problem is that some of these cannot simply be washed: if we can clean the earrings with alcohol or with baking soda (which by the way makes the silver shine), we cannot use detergents, disinfectants or soap and water with everything, especially with technology or keys (which could rust). So what to do? Fortunately, there are models of sterilizer for smartphones and keys (but also earphones), which can do for us.
On Kickstarter we find something nice and very interesting, which unfortunately is not yet a mass reality: it is an object called Cardlax Airpods Washer, which consists of a mini washing machine to clean the earphones. Of course, the grilles of the earphones, where the “organic products” of our ears nest, cannot be cleaned with toothpicks, brushes or cotton swabs. The mini-washing machine in question uses a small rotating brush, a spray of alcohol-based antibacterial liquid and then everything goes into the mini-basket, which sanitizes with the aid of a sponge. The object could be ready for summer 2021.
Smartphone sterilizers, on the other hand, are a decidedly more proven reality. As Corriere della Sera explains, the standard model of sterilizer for smartphones and keys uses o lamps ultraviolet led, to eliminate microorganisms, such as bacteria, present on our everyday objects. They usually differ in size, power but also design (of course the more suggestive ones cost a little more). There are models that also combine ultraviolet and technology ozone.
We carried out a reconnaissance on Amazon and we have chosen some of the sterilizers on the platform and we have chosen them based on price, functionality and aesthetics.
