While the world stops to comment on the wonderful raincoat that Queen Letizia has released, a perfect choice to visit the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Academy in this stormy spring, we we stop a little further: in the pants. We need to argue this look with skinny pants (but very skinny) that the Queen has chosen to preside over the work meeting of the Fundación del Español Urgente FundéuRAE. May the world I’m already used to this extreme ‘fit’ on the Queen’s legsBut it still seems weird to us. Very rare.
Actually, the look has everything to win. The raincoat (375 euros) is from a very Spanish brand, Mirto, a traditional family business that sells through El Corte Inglés some classic collections that have been winning over the years. The rest of the outfit has no mystery: a simple white blouse with a ruffle and the skin-effect skinny jeans in question.. Seen closely, we reaffirm ourselves: aren’t these pants for leisure and even for a rock festival? We see it, without a doubt, in Pilar Rubio, but in the Queen … They do not convince us even with the impeccable ‘stilettos’ by Magrit and the Nina Ricci bag of 1,900 euros.
In the El Corte Inglés online store we have an alternative, the look that could have been If Letizia put aside her obsession with skinny pants, a pattern that this season we only see now, due to its slimming effect, in large sizes. The trend marks baggy pants, and the option of the brand with some white ankle-length pants seem ideal to us. Failure of the Queen’s stylist or Letizia’s insistence on some very comfortable pants? We have it clear.
