Do-it-yourself recipes do not replace pharmacy, perfumery or herbal medicine treatments, but they can do something to reduce sunspots, when they are still not very evident. In any case, it is always good to pay close attention. As we explain in the article

Are there any natural remedies to lighten face spots? Yes, but as long as you use them with much caution and to expect only minor improvements. If the stain is barely noticeable or is starting to appear, you can in fact try to reduce it with various do-it-yourself recipes based on natural ingredients, but it is always best to consult a dermatologist first.
This is especially true if you are very young, when it is very likely that the spots may have recently formed (a stage in which it is easier to intervene to resize them). The sine qua non of all natural remedies for blemishes is never expose yourself to the sun, during and after their application. And to stop the treatments immediately if the skin feels burning, redness or itching.

How to get rid of skin blemishes naturally

Among the most popular natural remedies for face blemishes there is undoubtedly the lemon, recognized as a natural whitener. It seems that applied twice a day to the affected area, it gradually lightens the skin. Of course, the process of removing dead cells – loaded with dark pigment – is very slow. Therefore, we must arm ourselves with patience.
Do this: dip a cotton swab in the juice of half a lemon and do some “brushing” twice a day on the stain, taking care not to rinse your face. However, it is better to talk to your dermatologist first to make sure it is a solution that is not too aggressive for our skin.

Another natural remedy that can prove useful against blemishes is theWhite vinegar combined with horseradish, a root of the cruciferous family (that of cauliflowers). To prepare a lightening lotion do this: grate a rather large root of rifano and pour 200 ml of white wine vinegar. Leave the mixture to macerate for 24 hours, and then strain it. In this way she uses the lotion obtained as if it were a tonic, that is, dabbed on the face with a cotton pad. But if it is more convenient for you, you can use your fingers directly, then avoid rinsing your face. This solution can also be used every day.

Are facial blemishes the result of acne scars? They are most likely pink or red. A natural remedy is constituted byrosehip oil. Contains vitamin E which nourishes the skin, helping it to regenerate it, thus forming new epidermal tissue. Vitamin K, on the other hand, improves blood microcirculation, which ultimately causes the skin to have a look clearer. Finally, linoleic acid, an Omega-6 present in quantity in rosehip oil, has an anti-inflammatory action on the skin, helping to prevent acne spots. Use it as a daily night treatment.

Lighten face spots with baking soda, be careful!

A little like teeth, baking soda helps to “whiten” the teeth blotchy skin. The reason? It acts as a natural exfoliant that eliminates dead cells. Use it mixed with a little warm water, until you get a soft but quite grainy batter. Apply it on the face scrub, massage gently, trying not to rub vigorously. Leave on for about 15 minutes, as if it were a mask. Rinse your face, and apply a moisturizer with SPF sunscreen. To avoid irritation, use the baking soda method only twice a week.

Hydrogen peroxide for face spots

The lightening power of hydrogen peroxide depends on the content of hydrogen peroxide (some dentists use it as a chairside whitening treatment). At home, however, it is used to disinfect wounds. And if by chance a drop of hydrogen peroxide ends up on the hair, it lightens it with an unpleasant yellow! How to use it to lighten face spots? When you want to eliminate stains, it is better to avoid these types of solutions, they could be very aggressive for the skin and do more damage than anything else.

Lighten face spots: what else to do

As we said at the beginning, natural remedies against sunspots are only “palliatives” to be used in case of minor problems. That is when the spots are not very extensive and have a beige or brownish color. If, on the other hand, they are latte, decidedly dark or brown, it is better to contact the dermatologist, who will prescribe adequate therapy.

These natural remedies can complement the anti-stain creams, but only as a “booster” once in a while, just to give more energy to the lightening beauty routine. In any case, before adding the do-it-yourself, it is good to check that any anti-stain products from pharmacy, perfumery or herbal medicine do not contain exfoliating acids or other potentially irritating ingredients. The mix of bicarbonate, lemon, hydrogen peroxide and cosmetic lightening active ingredients could seriously irritate the skin, and expose it to a photosensitizing risk. In other words, to guard against excess whiteners, the skin could trigger one inflammatory reaction which would result in further stains. How to say, instead of solving the problem, we would go back to the previous point. Got worse.

Finally, above all, the principle of common sense always applies, that is do not rub the stained leather as if it were a cotton fabric from which to remove a wine stain! And then always resort to Sun protection, even if it rains or you are in front of the PC: it is precisely the concept of light – whether it is blue from digital screens or solar – that slows down the process of “healing” from the spots. That sooner or later comes.
