From February 17 Balenciaga has a two-story space and 356 square meters on Paseo de Gràcia 101 in Barcelona. A new store that is a luxury, not only for the haute couture it contains (which it also contains), but for its own architectural design. The space designed specifically for Balenciaga Paseo de Gràcia drink from the aesthetics of the industrial and tries to confront modernity and tradition at the same time, a dialogue between the brand’s history and modernity that tells us both about its good work and its ability to innovate.
The new Balenciaga store in Barcelona is clad in stone and concrete and marks the beginning of a new era for the Spanish firm. On the ground floor, we find the collections for women and it stands out visually for its illumination of metal and resin pendant lamps that hang over the visitor.
The men’s collection is presented on the basement floor, carpeted with blue wool that also displays the Balenciaga logo. On the store’s facade, windows on two sides of the corner building let in sunlight.
The showcase features floor-to-ceiling windows and allow us to glimpse the inside of the store in which the seats and shelves are reminiscent of elements of public transport due to their practicality, but which have been made of comfortable materials and fabrics to be able to enjoy the collections in a relaxed atmosphere. In short, a new space of pure luxury that you cannot miss.
